honeygrow, a Philadelphia-born fast casual eatery known for wholesome, made-to-order stir-fry, salads and honey-based desserts, is boosting its presence in New Jersey.

Scheduled to open this fall at the Simon-owned in Toms River, ‘s newest location will be its sixth in the state and bring 35 new full- and part-time jobs to the area, the brand announced in an Aug. 31 press release.

Founded in 2012, honeygrow offers a nutrition-forward menu of customizable meals and honeybars, which the chain describes as a sweet dessert made from fresh fruit and flavored honey. Along with dishes for specific dietary plans – like paleo, keto, vegan and high protein – honeybar has a kids’ menu of wholesome and create-your-own stir-fry and salad options.

honeygrow now has 36 locations across the Northeast, including spots in Hoboken, Hamilton, New Brunswick, Cherry Hill and Marlton, as well as a restaurant coming soon to Old Bridge.

The brand is also continuing its growth in its home state of Pennsylvania, recently announcing an outpost in Monroeville.

In commenting on the newest restaurants, Justin Rosenberg, founder and chief executive officer of honeygrow, described it as “really exciting steps” for the company.

“Expanding our presence in central New Jersey is a natural extension as we bridge the gap between our southern and northern New Jersey restaurants. Likewise, adding a second location in the Pittsburgh area allows us to strengthen our brand awareness as we look to continue to add restaurants between western and eastern PA. We’re actively engaged in finding more opportunities throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey,” he said.
