JAG-ONE Physical Therapy, the provider of outpatient orthopedic physical and occupational therapy services, announced Monday it is expanding further into New Jersey with the opening of its newest facility in the state.

The latest Newark location broadens the company’s Essex County presence to three facilities and brings the company’s overall footprint to 66 clinics throughout the Tri-State area, with 31 in New Jersey.

“It is with great pride that I announce the opening of our Newark location,” said Chief Executive Officer John Gallucci Jr. “Over the years we have built outstanding relationships throughout the city of Newark, including our partnership with the Prudential Center, the New Jersey Devils and St. Benedicts Preparatory School, to name a few.

“After opening our first facility in West Orange in 2005, I am excited to once again increase our Essex County footprint to further support our great community as a trusted health care resource,” he said.

Christina Gioeli will serve as the clinical director of the Newark location, leveraging her years of experience and clinical aptitude to support the local community. Gioeli specializes in orthopedic injury rehabilitation for both non-operative and post-operative injuries. She has a strong interest in utilizing manual therapy and exercise prescription for athletic populations and spinal conditions, especially the SIJ (sacroiliac join) and lumbar spine. Gioeli has utilized advanced Return to Sport programs with her patients and performed screenings of high-level athletes to rule out potential ACL injuries.

Gioeli has also participated in community events, including injury prevention seminars, stretching and foam rolling instruction with local gyms, and exercising and balance activities for geriatric populations.
