Alfred Sanzari Enterprises on Tuesday said it signed a lease renewal with BioReference Laboratories for 50,429 square feet of industrial space in Elmwood Park.

Located at 491 Edward H. Ross Drive, BioReference Laboratories is the firm’s largest tenant, leasing more 227,037 square feet in Elmwood Park spread across four buildings in Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ portfolio.

Established in 1981, BioReference Laboratories has been a tenant with Alfred Sanzari Enterprises since signing its first lease to relocate company headquarters to Elmwood Park Plaza in 1988. Since then, BioReference has grown into the nation’s largest full-service specialty laboratory, servicing approximately 11 million patients annually with a leading position in genetics, women’s health and cancer.

BioReference Laboratories’ headquarters and lab space in Elmwood Park provides the company with a strategic location and easy access to the New York City metro area and local transportation hubs, like Teterboro Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport.
