National intellectual property litigator and counselor Mark Anania joined the law firm Stevens & Lee as shareholder in its Elmwood Park and New York offices, the offices announced on May 4.
Stevens & Lee Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ernie Choquette said the addition of Anania “contributes to our ongoing growth strategy in the northern New Jersey and New York markets and helps to advance a number of our firm’s strategies, including to deliver both a wide range and depth of exceptional products and services to our clients.”

Anania focuses his practice on helping clients defend the security of their intellectual property portfolios and business-critical assets. His clients span Fortune 500 and small private businesses, and he has litigated for them before federal district courts nationwide, the Federal Circuit and the International Trade Commission.
Additionally, Anania provides strategic advice on intellectual property portfolio management, counseling and licensing and offers guidance from effectively obtaining rights through the USPTO and Copyright Office to implementing proactive measures that prevent and avoid infringement.
Anania is president of the New Jersey IP Law Association and he frequently writes and speaks on IP issues.
