Dumont laundromat extends lease, gets new owners

Dumont Laundry has new owners and extended its lease at 40 West Madison Ave. in Dumont, it announced Monday.The space, a 9,300-square-foot retail building, is owned and managed by Judyville LLC.

Judy Parker, president of Judyville, is the landlord and owner of the property.

Parker represented both Dumont Laundry and its new owners, partners Rocco Laginestra and Philip Velez, in the transaction.

“We are pleased to provide an essential service for the local community,” Laginestra said in a prepared statement. “Dumont is a great town and we opted for a long-term lease because we’ve made a commitment to this location and this community.”

 “Judy has been incredible to work with,” Velez said in a prepared statement. “She truly cares and is constantly coming up with new ideas to help us grow our business.”

“I am thrilled to have Rocco and Phil join the tenant mix at this location,” Parker said in a prepared statement. “All the tenants in the building have a great relationship with one another. And, as local residents, they provide ‘hands on’ management to offer customers an excellent quality of service.”

Nearby tenants include L&A Dog Grooming, YESS Training and Italian Connection.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
