Englewood Health, based in its namesake city, formally opened a new primary care practice in Cliffside Park, the health care network announced on Feb. 16.
The new office includes both family practice and internal medicine, and is based out of the Towne Centre building at 695 Anderson Ave.
That building already houses one such office boasting 20 physicians — part of the Englewood Health Physician Network — that practice behavioral health, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonary medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and rheumatology.
“In Cliffside Park, we’re improving access for patients and, at the same time, we’ve opened up more space for seeing our specialists,” Englewood Health President and CEO Warren Geller said in a prepared statement.
The idea is that patients, with the option for walk-in appointments at the Cliffside Park Office, “can get in quickly to see a doctor” in the event that “you feel sick, or have other immediate medical needs,” added Englewood Health Physician Network President Stephen Brunnquell.
“If your condition requires a follow-up with a specialist, they are located within the same familiar building,” Brunnquell continued. “All of this leads to improved local access and quality care for our patients.”
Englewood Health recently opened an urgent care center in Jersey City, while another is slated to open in Fair Lawn this March. The network already has a clinic in Cresskill and another in Englewood.
