Accounting

Friedman LLP recently promoted Brian Kristiansen to principal and Lisa Silber and Frans van der Berg to director. The promoted personnel are members of the tax and audit departments and are based in the firm’s New York City and East Hanover offices. All assumed their titles on July 1.

Kristiansen has over 10 years of public accounting and tax experience with clients in a wide variety of industries, including real estate, technology, e-commerce, private equity and various service industries. He received his B.S in management information systems from Louisiana State University and M.S. in accountancy from Baruch College. He is licensed as a certified public accountant.

Silber has been promoted to director in the firm’s Tax Services group. With nearly 25 years of experience, Silber oversees the private business accounting and advisory services within the firm. Her extensive experience working with small businesses to design and implement accounting systems has created a niche expertise within the firm specializing in outsourced finance and accounting. Throughout Silber’s nearly 20-year tenure with the firm, she has been and continues to be a trusted adviser to her clients. She is also licensed as a certified public accountant.

Van der Berg is a director in the audit services group. With over 15 years of experience in the private and public sectors, van der Berg works closely with a variety of clients in the hospitality, real estate, distribution, branding and professional service industries.

In addition to being involved in all phases of audit, accounting and tax work, his experience includes planning, supervising and performing audit, review and compilation engagements. He is a New York Society of Certified Public Accountants associate member.

Banking

Wells Fargo Advisors has, for the fifth consecutive year, designated Senior Vice President — Investments Jeffrey Libman as a member of the firm’s Premier Advisors Program.

Libman has been a financial adviser with Wells Fargo Advisors for six years and has 28 years’ experience in the brokerage industry. He has a bachelor of business administration in Marketing from The George Washington University and lives in Randolph with his wife Lisa and their three children.

Law

Eisenberg, Gold, Cettei & Agrawal, a Cherry Hill-based law firm specializing in civil and commercial litigation, real estate, creditors’ rights and condominium and community association law, has appointed Andrew Unterlack as a new associate. Unterlack brings 17 years of legal experience to this role, mostly in the areas of commercial litigation and creditors’ rights.

With EGC&A, Unterlack will represent numerous lending and financing institutions in a variety of transactions and assist business owners in the collection of outstanding receivables along with maintaining their corporate formalities.

Prior to joining EGC&A, Unterlack was an associate with The Lamm Group in Philadelphia, where he represented a wide range of commercial clients with a focus on creditors’ rights and the collection of outstanding account receivables. Before that, he served financial institutions and equipment lessors as an associate with Scott H. Marcus & Associates in Turnersville.

Real Estate

Moving to position itself for accelerated long-term growth, R.J. Brunelli announced the appointment of founder Richard Brunelli as chairman of the board, Ron DeLuca as CEO and Danielle Brunelli-Albrecht as president. All three have been principals of the Old Bridge-based retail real estate brokerage since the time it became an limited liability company in 2010.

In the newly created role of CEO, DeLuca will work with Brunelli-Albrecht on strategic planning, while also directing R.J. Brunelli’s day-to-day operations, including review and approval of all representation agreements and other legal documents, hiring of new staff and oversight of all trade show activities. He will also continue to supervise the firm’s annual retail vacancy study, as well as ensure that the sales team conforms to the company’s standards on landlord representation accounts.
