A former executive at several big-name social media and internet giants – including Uber, Facebook and Instagram – is slated to take the reins as chief growth and product officer at cryptocurrency firm Celsius.
In his role at the Hoboken-based firm, Tushar Nadkarni will oversee the company’s product, growth, design and marketing teams across the globe.

“The rapidly evolving crypto market is at an inflection point, and Celsius has been leading the innovation to bridge the gap between centralized and decentralized finance,” reads a Nov. 2 prepared statement from Nadkarni.
He previously founded and served as managing partner of Slingshot Growth Lab since 2018, which offered marketing, product development and interface design to client businesses looking to scale up their operations and reach.
“As we prepare for the next chapter of our growth, I am excited to bring on a world-class leader like Tushar to scale Celsius from our first 1 million customers to our vision of 100 million customers,” added Celsius Chief Executive Officer Alex Mashinsky.
Nadkarni was previously an advisor for Goldman Sachs’ portfolio of tech companies, according to his LinkedIn profile, and headed several business operations at Mercedes-Benz USA. He was an associate partner at the politically-connected consulting firm McKinsey & Co.
