The accounting, tax and advisory firm known as WeiserMazars LLP has changed its name, it announced this week.As of Jan. 1, the firm is going by Mazars USA LLP, it said Thursday in a news release. The firm, which became an independent member firm of the Mazars Group in 2010, will maintain that status even as it hopes to expand operations nationwide and align its expertise with the broader global group.

Mazars USA, which is headquartered in New York, has a significant New Jersey presence, ranking No. 18 on the latest NJBIZ list of largest Accounting Firms.

“Mazars is a world-renowned global professional services brand offering extensive experience and broad services,” Victor Wahba, chairman and CEO of Mazars USA, said in a prepared statement. “Since joining the Mazars Group in 2010, our clients have seen firsthand the benefits of working with an integrated, global organization that offers extensive knowledge in a broad range of industries.

“Today, we are proud to be branded Mazars USA as we continue to grow and deliver outstanding results.”

Mazars USA said it expects no personnel changes tied to the rebranding.
