Holmdel-based talent acquisition technology provider added its own new hire with the appointment of Jason Edelboim as chief executive officer, effective Jan. 2, 2024.

In the Dec. 14 announcement, Ashu Agrawal, iCIMS board member and managing director at TA Associates, said, “The most exciting and innovative days for the talent market are just ahead, and we believe iCIMS will continue to lead the way with Jason at the helm.”

Bringing nearly two decades of experience in data, technology and enterprise software, Edelboim will join iCIMS from artificial intelligence-focused company Dataminr, where he served as president and chief operating officer for the past five years, according to his LinkedIn profile. He also announced Dec. 13 on the social platform that he was “stepping away to pursue a new opportunity” and is “joining an exciting company as CEO.”

While at New York City-based Dataminr, which announced Nov. 28 that it would lay off about 20% of its staff, according to TechCrunch, Edelboim oversaw the sales, marketing, customer success, business development, partnerships, product, engineering, operations and human resources organizations and served as a member of the company’s board of directors.

Edelboim also previously held senior leadership roles at Cision, PR Newswire and Bloomberg and was a producer for CNN, according to LinkedIn.

Saying he couldn’t be prouder to join his new team, Edelboim added, “Getting the right people in the right roles remains business leaders’ top priority, and iCIMS has the solutions to drive ROI at every stage of hiring. There’s tremendous promise for the future of iCIMS as we help enterprises worldwide overcome today’s most complex talent acquisition challenges.”

A representative for iCIMS confirmed with NJBIZ that Edelboim succeeds Brian Provost, who left the company for personal reasons. In his own LinkedIn post, Provost said it was a “difficult decision” to leave “an amazing business with an incredible team,” but that one of the biggest contributing factors “was commuting as a remote CEO on a weekly basis. I love being with a team and collaborating in an office.”

Headquartered at Bell Works, iCIMS also has locations in Denver, Dublin, Hyderabad, London, Madrid and Paris.
