Ridgefield Park-based The KABR Group (“KABR”) said Jan. 14 it completed the purchase of a 200,000-square-foot warehouse and logistics center at 901 Burman Boulevard in Calverton, New York. The Calverton complex is located just one mile off the Long Island Expressway, with direct access to both Nassau and Suffolk counties and within one hour to Manhattan.

The property features 48-foot clearances and column-free spaces, as well as a freight elevator and cranes throughout the site. The two existing tenants are Reilly Windows & Doors (a division of Pella windows) – a custom home window and door manufacturing firm – and Old Castle Building Products – a leading supplier of aggregate asphalt and a subsidiary of CRH plc. CRH is the largest company in Ireland by market capitalization and construction work performed. KABR will be making significant investments to modernize and upgrade the site.

“We continue to pursue value add and opportunistic real estate in the Northeast Corridor and Florida markets for our expanding portfolio of value-oriented industrial, commercial and multi-family properties,” said Michael Goldstein, chief operating officer at The KABR Group. “We look forward to supporting Old Castle and Reilly Windows as they continue to serve the needs of business and consumers”.

Once a Grumman manufacturing facility, the Calverton site has a history dating back to 1958. The property once served as the site for testing, assembly and retrofitting of U.S. Navy fighter planes, including the A-6 Intruder, E-2 Hawkeye, EA-6B Prowler and F-14 Tomcat.

The seller was represented by Steven Sessa, Justin Maiorano, Tommy Rosati, Jason Maietta, and Brandon Lichtenstein of Colliers International.
