NAIOP NJ announces 2023 President’s Awards winners, Hall of Fame inductees

NAIOP New Jersey will hold its Annual President’s Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner Nov. 6 at the Hilton Meadowlands.

The yearly event recognizes the contributions of the association’s volunteer leaders for the role they play in supporting the commercial real estate industry.

The 2023 award recipients are:

  • Legacy Award: Jack Fersko; partner and co-chair, Real Estate Department, Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP
  • Pillar Award: Jeffrey Hipschman, senior managing director, CBRE
  • Advocacy Award: Jay Rhatican; vice president of land use and development, assistant general counsel; Hartz Mountain Industries
  • Volunteer of the Year Award: Terry Armstrong, senior vice president of leasing & acquisitions, Elberon Development Group
  • Rising Star Award: Andrew Chun, senior project scientist, Langan Engineering & Environmental Services

Three longtime members and industry titans will also be inducted into The NAIOP New Jersey Hall of Fame during the event:

  • Alan Lambiase, director of sales and leasing, River Terminal Development Co.
  • Joseph Taylor, president and CEO, Matrix Development Group
  • Deborah Paige Hanson, principal,  chief risk officer and fund manager, The Hampshire Cos.

“Each of these leaders has contributed their time, knowledge and energy to advance our association and New Jersey’s commercial real estate development industry,” said NAIOP NJ President Mark Shearer. “This special evening is dedicated to celebrating their selfless and tireless work, which is especially meaningful as our industry evolves to meet ongoing challenges.”

Networking and cocktails will begin at 4:30 p.m. in East Rutherford, followed by dinner and the awards presentation. According to NAIOP NJ, the program will conclude at 7:45 p.m. You can register for the event here.
