The brainchild of Gov. Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy, North to Shore was founded last year to spotlight New Jersey’s culture, diversity and spirit of innovation.
In 2023, the multi-city festival drew an audience of nearly 250,000 to experience more than 300 artists in 100-plus venues. While most events were free, ticketed festivities brought in $7.6 million in sales, according to the state.
Performers included Halsey, Eric B. & Rakim, Santana and The B-52’s. Additional concerts, films, art exhibits and panel discussions on tech, climate change, health care and business filled out the lineup.
