Hackensack Meridian Health’s Palisades Medical Center announced a new acting president, Anthony Passannante Jr., as of July 1.Hackensack Meridian Health’s Palisades Medical Center announced a new acting president, Anthony Passannante Jr., as of July 1.
Passannante has served as vice president, medical affairs, and chief medical officer at Palisades for the past two years, according to a statement from the parent company, HMH.
Passannante replaces Bruce Markowitz, who has served as president of Palisades Medical Center since 1993.
“Dr. Passannante has served with distinction in leadership roles at the medical center, and will continue to inspire team members to provide highly-quality, patient-centered care,’’ said Robert Garrett, co-CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health.
Passannante has also served in senior leadership roles at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.
“As a cardiologist and hospital executive, Dr. Passannante is a proven leader who will develop strategies that focus on optimal outcomes in convenient settings for patients at every level of care, ‘’ said John Lloyd, HMH’s other co-CEO.
