Somerset-based PharmScript, a pharmacy provider to long-term care and post-acute care facilities, announced the acquisition of Rx Med, a long-term care pharmacy located near Nashville.
In a statement, PharmScript said that the acquisition builds on its continued national expansion, and furthers its service footprint in the south, enabling PharmScript to serve health care facilities in Tennessee and surrounding states.
The Tennessee location will be PharmScript’s 15th pharmacy.
“Tennessee has long been part of our strategic expansion plan, and we are excited to have an experienced local team join the Pharmscript family to help us serve this market,” said Michael Segal, chief executive officer of Pharmscript. “With this team, Pharmscript will continue to provide top-quality service to some of the leading long-term care facilities in Tennessee while bringing innovative technologies and capabilities to enhance this service. We are looking forward to building our relationships and demonstrating that we are a trusted partner in long-term care across the state,” Segal said.
PharmScript currently services more than 600 long-term and post-acute care facilities across 17 states and the District of Columbia and serves health care providers across the South, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
