The STRO Cos. of Ridgewood on Thursday said it leased 23,500 square feet of its property located at 215 S. Newman St. in Hackensack to Gold Medal Bakery, which is relocating its warehousing and distribution operations.
The building at 215 S. Newman St. contains approximately 65,700 square feet with eight tailgates, two drive-in loading docks and 16-foot clear ceiling heights.
Gold Medal Bakery is a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated company based in Fall River, Mass., specializing in producing high-quality breads, rolls and English muffin products. Gold Medal Bakery transports its products using its own fleet of transport tractors and trailers from northern Maine down to southern New Jersey for total Northeast coverage.
Gold Medal Bakery was represented by Drew Maffey and Rick Marchisio of Lee & Associates.
“215 S. Newman is well-situated near I-80, the NJ Turnpike, Routes 17, 46 and 4, and the Garden State Parkway, making this an ideal location for Gold Medal’s distribution hub,” said Zach La Motta, director of leasing at STRO.
“We are pleased to have Gold Medal Bakery as our newest tenant. Their stellar reputation and professionalism made this process easy and seamless in otherwise challenging times,” said Mitchel Kay, chief operating officer and general counsel at STRO. “Despite the COVID-19 environment, the demand for industrial space in the northern New Jersey area remains strong.”
