Long-awaited South Amboy Ferry Terminal begins service

The route is expected to be a boon to the region, moving more than 1,000 daily riders during the week, and eventually some 500 people over the weekends.

Jersey City is relaunching a city-run ferry operation out of Port Liberte Ferry Terminal, which had been shut down since the early days of the pandemic in 2020.
