, headquartered in Cherry Hill, announced plans Sept. 15  to open 15 stores in the fast-growing city of Charlotte, N.C.

With all branches scheduled to open by 2025, the financial institution anticipates debuting the first new stores in the summer of 2023 at 2020 Beatties Ford Road and 6611 Carmel Road.

TD said at least a quarter of the locations will be in majority-minority or low- to moderate-income areas to broaden access to financial services for residents there.

The banking service already has 11 stores in the state; it has had a non-retail presence in Charlotte since 2013.

“Charlotte is one of the fastest-growing markets in the country, with significant economic and population growth,” TD President and CEO Leo Salom said in a statement. “We recognize the need for many consumers to obtain convenient access to banking services and we look forward to serving these diverse communities.”

The new locations are expected to bring approximately 100 full- and part-time jobs to the area.

The stores will offer services such as personal checking and savings accounts, small business checking and savings accounts, mortgages, credit cards, home equity lines of credit and personal loans.

Additionally, TD said it recently hired two middle market relationship managers in Charlotte to further serve the region’s mid-size, nonprofit and higher education organizations.

Editor’s note: This story was updated at 10:50 a.m. ET Sept. 16 to clarify that these will be TD’s first physical stores in Charlotte.
