Kohl’s and Sephora announced their second crop of shop-in-shops, with 15 New Jersey locations forthcoming following the opening of 11 in 2021.

Four hundred Sephora locations will open in Kohl’s stores nationwide this year following the 200 that opened in 2021. The retailers are on track to meet their goal of opening 850 nationwide by 2023.

“The quick and vast rollout of Sephora at Kohl’s is a testament to how much we believe in this partnership and making prestige beauty more accessible to people everywhere,” said Doug Howe, Kohl’s chief merchandising officer, in a prepared statement. “We’re excited to grow and bring this elevated beauty experience to more of Kohl’s existing and new customers this year.”

Sephora at Kohl’s are 2,500-square-foot shop-in-shops that mimic the look and feel of a freestanding Sephora. The locations offer a selection of prestige makeup, skincare, hair and fragrance brands; are staffed with Sephora-trained beauty advisers; and have allowed for the overhaul of Kohl’s beauty business.

“Since our partnership with Kohl’s began, we’ve always had the intention to keep the Sephora at Kohl’s beauty assortment as relevant and similar to our freestanding Sephora stores as possible. We want every customer who comes to Sephora at Kohl’s to be able to discover new brands and find their favorites, just like they do at our other Sephora stores,” said Artemis Patrick, Sephora’s executive vice president and global chief merchandising officer, in a prepared statement. “The additions of these new brands to Sephora at Kohl’s demonstrate how we are continuing to bolster the assortment to bring the best experience to all of our new and existing customers.”

• 1711 State Route 10, Morris Plains
• 11 N. Park Drive, Newton
• 4971 Stelton Road, South Plainfield
• 1 Route 37 W., Toms River
• 2703 Route 541, Westampton

These openings follow ones in Clifton, Hamilton Township, Hillsborough, Howell, Paramus, Ramsey,  Secaucus, Turnersville, North Plainfield, Wayne and Woodland Park last year.
