Aldi will carry 20 percent more products, including items like kombucha, veggie noodles and organic meats. Its vegan and vegetarian lines are expanding, and, according to the grocer, it now carries one of the largest private label selections of milk alternatives. Additionally, its fresh food category is increasing by 40 percent.

The product expansion comes on the back of an aggressive growth campaign by the chain that aims for 2,500 stores across the country, up from the current 1,800.

A new Aldi opened in Voorhees earlier this year. The locations of the five New Jersey stores to open later in 2018 have not been disclosed.
