Bayonne’s Bay One apartments celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 8.
The in-person, socially distanced event, brought together community leaders, building ownership and management, and residents to mark the occasion.
“Today we celebrate not only the opening of our building, but also the growth of the surrounding Bayonne community,” said Bay One Apartments Manager Kate Regan. “With the support of Greystar Management, our focus is strongly rooted in the success of our lease up while also contributing to the success of Bayonne small businesses and promoting the value of our surrounding residential community. Our residents will live, work and play in Bayonne, and we will continue to make it a priority to include our local community in our everyday operations.”
Constructed in the heart of Bayonne, Bay One is located within walking distance of a diverse restaurant and shopping scene, mass transit access to New York City and several local parks, as well within a short distance to Newark Liberty Airport.
The Bay One ownership team is comprised of Gary DeBode, Gallium Real Estate; Lance Lucarelli and Joseph Lucarelli, The L Group; Gary Romaniello, GRA Equities; and John Cali and Jason Cali, Cali Futures.
“We were an early investor in this project as we believed there was significant demand for a best-in-class luxury apartment complex right in the heart of Bayonne,” said Romaniello. “Our team is thrilled to see this project come to fruition and we look forward to making further investments in this beautiful Gold Coast community of New Jersey.”
Offering 91 studio, one- and two-bedroom homes, Bay One’s concrete construction allowed for it to be built as the tallest residential community in the area. Residents can enjoy panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, New York Harbor, Newark Bay and the Statue of Liberty from the 8,000-square-foot rooftop garden, which features grilling and dining areas, a fire pit lounge, fenced dog run and pet spa station, and secluded seating areas.
Bay One also features the largest amenity offering in the area, with three levels of indoor and outdoor space with unlimited access for residents. The building’s 6,000 square feet of indoor lounge areas offer abundant coworking space, conference rooms, a screening room and a children’s play area. Bay One’s 2,000-square-foot gym includes state-of-the-art equipment, on-demand virtual fitness programs, spin bikes and dedicated yoga and HIIT rooms.
