Big Snow is thanking those who work outdoors during the summer by giving them a chance cool down in its crisp, 28 degree indoor ski and snow resort at American Dream.

While most head inside to stay comfortable in air conditioning when a heat wave arrives, delivery drivers, construction workers, landscapers, utility crews and public service workers don’t have the same luxury.

As a show of appreciation, Big Snow is giving 50% off lift tickets to guests who show proof of employment. The offer is good throughout August.

According to Big Snow’s website, a two-hour slope access ticket for adults is $59.99. A single snow day package that includes rental equipment and access to skills areas and dedicated instructors costs $99.99.

Big Snow Resort Marketing Manager Amiana Tyransky shared, “Despite the heat advisories and unbearable conditions, outdoor workers show up every day to get the job done. Cool Down Days are our way of recognizing their efforts by offering them a chance to hit the slopes and chill out in a refreshing 28-degree escape that lasts all year long no matter what the forecast says.”

A first-of-its-kind facility in North America, Big Snow provides ideal snow conditions year-round within climate-controlled slopes. The 180,000-square-foot, 16-story center offers varied experiences for all skill levels and ages of skiers and snowboarders.

In addition to private lessons and kids’ programs, Big Snow has training, family ski vacation prep, corporate team building and a retail shop.
