Children’s retailer buybuy BABY and online interior design consultant Decorist launched a virtual decorating platform Thursday.
Design Squad, co-launched by the two Union-based Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. subsidiaries, is a comprehensive resource powered by hundreds of professional interior designers to help new and expecting millennial and gen Z parents shop for and decorate their baby’s nursery online.
Design Squad offers dozens of curated designs, free professional designer Q&A, and a custom room design service.

“Regardless of where our customer is in their design journey, and no matter what their budget, our new innovative service helps make the nursery design experience seamless and fun,” said buybuy BABY Senior Vice President and General Manager Glen Cary in a statement.

Services include the style quiz, the five question quiz that can help parents determine what style nursery they want; and shop the room, where customers can pick from a selection of 35 curated nurseries at various styles and price points. Parents looking for a little help finding something affordable or picking the right paint color can ask designers in the platform’s free Q&A tool; and those wanting more thorough professional design help can get a custom room designed by a professional designer for $199.
The Design Squad blog will also provide tips, tricks, and inspiration for designing a stunning nursery.
