Chilton Medical Center announced its new president, who will also serve as vice president of parent Atlantic Health System.Stephanie Bloom is the new leader of the Pompton Plains medical center, moving over from her recent role as CEO and president of Barnabas Health’s Community Medical Center in Toms River, according to a statement.

“The opportunity to lead Chilton Medical Center is a wonderful privilege,” Bloom said. “Our hospital has a rich tradition of delivering quality and compassionate care. Our management team is experienced, our caregivers and physicians are skilled and our affiliation with Atlantic Health System brings unprecedented access to world-class care directly to our community.

Bloom has also been the chief operation officer and senior vice president of Southern Ocean County Hospital in Manahawkin, and has held various roles in Pennsylvania and Maryland systems, according to a statement.

Bloom is credited with implementing an interventional and cardiac program, a neuroscience institute and the enhancement of oncology services at Community Medical Center.
