Parent company Gymboree Group Inc. said it has initiated a strategic review for its Gymboree, Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8 brands, which might include sales of each.

The company intends to close all Crazy 8 stores and reduce the number of Gymboree locations next year. New Jersey’s Crazy 8 locations include Jersey City, East Brunswick, Livingston, Paramus, Moorestown, Woodbridge and Vineland.

“The process we announced today is designed to reposition the company for success by establishing a brand portfolio and store footprint that is optimized for the current retail environment,” CEO Shaz Kahng said in a release. “These strategic initiatives are an important next step as we continue to look for ways to unlock additional value in our brands.”

The plan and timing for the closing of specific Gymboree stores is currently unknown.
