Fort Lee-based Cross River Bank recently announced it will host a webinar series exploring the faster payments ecosystem.
Kicking off May 24, the virtual events will feature insights from experts across the payments industry.
The first installment, “Unleashing the Untapped Potential of Push-to-Card Tech for Near Real-Time Payments,” will include a conversation between Keith Vander Leest, head of payments at Cross River, and Gil Akos, co-founder and chief executive officer of Astra.
Moderated by Andrew Lambert, head of product for cards and BaaS at Cross River, the webinar will also offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about these push-to-card programs, receive guidance on adopting faster payments into their business strategy, and the integration process for fintechs.
In addition to insights from Cross River team members, the series will also feature company partners – such as Astra, Trustly, The Clearing House, Paymints.io, Sardine and others – with industry experts exploring the rapidly evolving faster payments space.
Faster payments refers to real-time, electronic payments.
“The faster payments ecosystem is an increasingly important topic for financial institutions, fintechs, businesses, and consumers,” said Vander Leest in a press release. “With the support of our partners, we will provide valuable insights into the opportunities and landscapes of faster payments and empower attendees to stay competitive in today’s fast-paced financial environment.”
“We are excited to participate in this webinar and share our expertise on push-to-card payments,” said Akos. “As businesses look for ways to streamline operations, improve the customer experience, and generate new streams of revenue, real-time payments are becoming an increasingly popular option. We look forward to discussing how businesses can leverage this payment rail through the infrastructure offered by Astra and Cross River.”
