Cushman & Wakefield announced on Sept. 28 that it arranged a long-term lease renewal for Avepoint at 525 Washington Blvd. in Jersey City, also known as Newport Tower.
The tenant will continue occupying 15,467 square feet on part of the 14th floor of the property. Cushman & Wakefield’s David DeMatteis, Robert Rudin, Mina Shehata and Dirk Hrobsky represented the landlord, BentallGreenOak, in the transaction.
“Avepoint’s renewal at Newport Tower is a great indicator of Jersey City companies committing to their workplace long-term,” said DeMatteis.
Ideally situated on the Jersey City waterfront, Newport Tower offers an amenity-rich Class-A office experience.
The property recently underwent a multimillion dollar transformation to elevate its presence and enhance the tenant experience. Renovations included a newly designed building entrance, lobby and tenant amenity center. The building’s amenities include a café, game room, coworking spaces, state-of-the-art meeting rooms, conference center and tenant lounge.
Newport Tower was awarded the 2020 Kingsley Excellence Award for Tenant Satisfaction and the 2020 Fitwel Viral Response Certification. The property is in proximity to PATH, Light Rail and New Jersey Transit at the Hoboken Transportation Terminal, offering direct access to Midtown and Downtown New York City.
