Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has expanded its culinary offerings with the opening of Sitar, a new upscale Indian restaurant that is part of the resort’s $50 million investment in property upgrades.

The 2,600-square-foot restaurant, located near the Sound Waves venue, celebrated its grand opening July 17 with live music, dancers and other festivities. Named after the iconic Indian stringed instrument, Sitar blends contemporary design with traditional Indian cuisine while offering guests boardwalk views and live entertainment.

Executive Chef Christopher Corda leads the eatery. The restaurant’s menu showcases the diverse regional flavors of India through a contemporary approach, featuring vegetarian and meat appetizers, tandoor specialties, curries and rice dishes. Signature entrées include:

• Sultans Nalli Korma E Khass, a slow-cooked lamb shank in a rich onion, almond and cashew sauce
• Truck Stop Karahi Chicken, prepared with hand-pulled tandoori chicken in a tomato-yogurt reduction with kasoori methi, roasted garlic, cilantro, green chiles and slivered ginger
• Pastooni Lobster Masala, featuring lobster tail in a creamy coconut and tomato sauce accented with Chablis, methi and honey

Sitar is one of several additions included in Hard Rock Atlantic City‘s $50 million capital improvement plan for 2026, which NJBIZ has previously reported on. Earlier this summer, the resort opened Federal Donuts & Chicken. Meanwhile, renovations continue on more than 700 guest rooms, over 60 suites, eight penthouses and public spaces throughout the property.
