A state-of-the-art wellness center featuring cutting-edge technologies and serene relaxation spaces recently debuted in Bergen County.

Located at Padel United Sports Club in Cresskill, the facility offers a range of services and amenities tailored to meet physical, mental and social well-being needs.

One of the standout features at the space is an Ammortal Chamber, a $150,000 technology designed for restoration and rejuvenation. Popular with professional athletes in the MLB and NFL, the advanced wellness bed aims to optimize human performance, enhance longevity and promote holistic health through a combination of non-invasive, scientifically proven technologies, such as multi-wave electromagnetic fields, red light therapy, voice-guided breathwork, hydrogen therapy and vibro-acoustic sound therapy.

The lineup also includes AI-powered massages.

According to United, the Aescape robotic massage blends advanced robotics and artificial intelligence to deliver a fully customized experience. By scanning the user’s body, the device generates more than 1 million 3D data points to map specific areas. Then, users can control pressure, target areas and music via a touchpad under the table and save preferences for future sessions.

Other amenities include a 40-foot saltwater pool, sauna, steam room, cold plunge pool and hot tub. In addition, the facility has a fully equipped gym, personalized training programs, studios for yoga as well as meditation and therapeutic services.

Membership packages come with several perks, including exclusive access to special events, priority bookings, complimentary wellness sessions and discounts.

Gaining traction

Billed as one of the largest indoor padel facilities in the Northeast, entrepreneurs Benji Markoff and Jon Krieger launched in July 2024.

It was one of New Jersey’s first clubs dedicated to padel – a cross between tennis and squash. After originating in Mexico during the 1960s, padel was later brought to Spain, where it’s now the second most-played sport behind soccer. Over the past four years, padel has swept across Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. It’s also gaining traction in the U.S., in states like New York, Florida, Texas and California.

Situated in a 36,000-square-foot former warehouse, Padel United Sports Club in Cresskill features seven indoor courts, café and a retail shop.

In addition to the 8,000-square-foot wellness space, the 36,000-square-foot former warehouse includes seven indoor courts, a café and retail shop.

Markoff commented, “At Padel United, we believe in creating an environment where physical activity, mental clarity, and community thrive. As a former resident of NYC, I wanted to bring that same energy to New Jersey through padel. I’m passionate about fostering a community where like-minded people can come together to stay fit, build meaningful friendships, and remain active.”

He added, “The new Wellness Center is a natural extension of our mission to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle. We’re excited to provide a space where members can rejuvenate their bodies and minds while connecting with others who share their values.”
