Jersey Shore University Medical Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its $265 million, 10-story HOPE Tower.Jersey Shore University Medical Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday for its $265 million, 10-story HOPE Tower.

The tower features a cancer center, advanced simulation training for physicians, ambulatory care, mental health services and the John K. Lloyd amphitheater.

“HOPE Tower sets the bar for the next generation of health care,” said JSUMC’s president, Dr. Kenneth Sable.

It will also serve as a research hub for JSUMC and will provide an opportunity to bring Hackensack Meridian Health physician practices under one roof in order to align and coordinate their practices.

“HOPE Tower is a place where world class health care will be delivered,” said HMH’s co-CEO, Robert Garrett. “We’re going to have the most convenient and accessible ambulatory care, academics will thrive here, there’s the amphitheater going to be a home for major conferences and academic lectures. That’s what Hackensack Meridian is all about.”

Co-CEO John Lloyd also helped introduce the new tower.
