Imperial Dade acquires Industrial Soap Co.

Foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies distributor Imperial Dade has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Industrial Soap Company of Saint Louis. This is the company’s 32nd acquisition under the leadership of father and son Robert and Jason Tillis, its chief executive officer and president.

Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

Industrial Soap, another distributor of janitorial supplies, has been owned and operated by the Shapiro family for 87 years.

“Industrial Soap is a leading provider in the Midwest with tremendous commitment to its customers. This acquisition represents another key step in our vision at Imperial Dade of creating the nation’s leading provider of foodservice disposables and janitorial supplies,” Jason Tillis said in a prepared statement.

With the addition of Industrial Soap, Imperial Dade will operate 68 facilities nationwide.
