Invest Newark – Newark’s economic development organization – will host its first Newark Restaurant Week with eateries and restaurants offering prix fixe lunch and dinner menus from Aug. 15 – Aug. 22.
With a wide variety of participating restaurants – ranging from casual to fine dining and more to come – Newark Restaurant Week is an opportunity for local businesses to showcase menus and dining experiences to new customers. It’s also a great opportunity for residents of the Brick City and surrounding areas to see and experience Newark’s locally owned and operated restaurants.
Newark Restaurant Week is sponsored by Ansell Grimm & Aaron, Audible, the New Jersey Devils, Wendy’s, Little Tijuana and City Rub Smokehouse.
“Newark is home to incredibly innovative and delicious restaurants, and we’re thrilled to partner with so many for Invest Newark’s first Restaurant Week,” said the organization’s president and CEO Bernel Hall. “As part of our commitment to supporting local businesses and building a thriving Newark economy, Restaurant Week is one of many new and exciting initiatives underway. We hope to welcome our neighbors back to our restaurants after the pandemic and introduce more people to the wonderful offerings of Newark.”
With more than 60 Newark restaurants currently registered to participate, Newark Restaurant Week will provide something for everyone–from trying new exotic cuisines to savoring old favorites. Highlights include Sigri Indian BBQ, Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea, Jollof & Grill, The Green Chicpea, Blimpie, Queen Pizza, Teriyaki Madness, Ark Deli, Burger Bound, Blue Print Cafe, The Weekend Spot and more.
New restaurants are being added daily to the website, so interested parties should continue to check back for more opportunities.
