Kooi will lead dancker’s Maryland offices in Baltimore and Capitol Heights, which had previously been operated by USBI.
“Nathan is the ideal choice to lead our sales strategy in the Baltimore and Washingon, DC markets,” said dancker President and CEO Steven Lang in a release. “With 13 years of experience in the contract office furniture industry, he has broad experience working with both public and private global institutions.”
Kooi will work with company leaders and former USBI President Kurt Weiss to expand dancker’s presence in the new market. A dancker transition team is also on location in Capitol Heights to assist with the USBI assimilation.
Kooi comes to dancker from furniture solutions company Steelcase, which he joined in 2007. He most recently served as regional sales manager at the company, overseeing operations in New York and New Jersey.
