Legacy Boxing Club has stepped into the ring in Belleville.
Located at 341 Cortlandt St., the brand’s new 9,975-square-foot gym is housed in a two-story, brick building.
Sheldon Gross Realty Vice President Eric Weston brokered the transaction, according to a Feb. 19 announcement.
Previously located in Wayne, the club teaches Olympic-style boxing skills. It offers private training as well as several classes a day, according to the gym’s website.
Owner Yessenia Montalvo told NJBIZ that the gym trains “amateur boxers who compete in local, state and national competitions with USA Boxing.” Legacy also hosts and trains professional boxers.
The Belleville location is near Route 21 and less than 2 miles from the Garden State Parkway and Route 3.
“For Legacy Boxing, Belleville is in the heart of one of New Jersey’s most vibrant population corridors, with thousands of potential customers in every direction,” said Weston, who began working with Legacy Boxing ownership in 2011.
