Maidenform Inc. is giving its U.S. headquarters space a boost. The intimate apparel company is expanding its lease at the Woodbridge Corporate Plaza, in the Iselin section of the Middlesex County township, by 15,000 square feet, to a total of 81,726 square feet.
The manufacturer now occupies 70 percent of the four-story, 116,030-square foot Building F, located at 485 Route 1 South — one of six office buildings that make up the 623,316-square-foot Woodbridge Corporate Plaza.
Maidenform’s headquarters space includes the building’s two top floors and a portion of the second floor, where the company has expanded its lease, according to Newmark Knight Frank, the real estate services firm that represented the landlord, KBS Realty Advisors Inc., in the deal.
The lingerie maker has been based at Woodbridge Corporate Plaza since 2007, when it relocated from its previous headquarters in Bayonne.
Jones Lang LaSalle broker Ray Sohmer, who represented Maidenform in the lease, declined to comment on the company’s expansion. Newmark and Maidenform could not immediately be reached.
