After a weeklong donation drive, Manasquan Bank raised a record-breaking $12,228 for 10 charities across the Jersey Shore region.
In a Sept. 18 press release, the Wall Township-based financial institution announced the following organizations will benefit from the funding:
During the Days of Giving campaign between Sept. 9 and 13, patrons were encouraged to gather any spare change, visit one of Manasquan Bank‘s 15 branches and participate in a unique coin exchange initiative.
As part of the drive, the bank matched up to 15% of each transaction total, with participants retaining their entire redemption amount. In addition, patrons had the option to donate all or a portion of their counted coins or make separate monetary contributions.
Launched in 2021, the Days of Giving program seeks to provide a platform for community engagement and charitable contributions.
This year’s effort led up to the bank’s 150th anniversary Community Day event. Held Sept. 14 in downtown Manasquan, the afternoon included games, crafts, entertainment and free food provided by the bank.
James Vaccaro, chair, president and chief executive officer of Manasquan Bank, commented, “As we celebrate 150 years of serving our communities, we are extraordinarily proud of the success of this year’s Days of Giving. The generosity and support of our clients and the community have allowed us to make a significant impact on these ten remarkable organizations. Our commitment to fostering positive change and supporting those in need remains as strong as ever.”
