In preparation for next summer, Morey’s Piers in Wildwood will upgrade one of its most beloved attractions – The Great White.

In a Nov. 18 press release, the family-owned and operated seaside amusement park said the classic wooden coaster will receive brand-new trains, as well as other enhancements designed to improve rider experience.

Known for its dramatic drops and scenic seaside views, The Great White has been a fan favorite for nearly three decades, according to Morey’s.

The amusement park added that The Great White will soon offer an even smoother ride. That’s thanks to the addition of two new Millennium Flyer trains from Great Coasters International Inc. (GCII), a leading expert in wooden rollercoaster design and engineering based in Sunbury, Pa.

The new trains feature 12 two-passenger cars, each supported by a single axle, which allows them to more fluidly adapt to the track’s curves, Morey’s said.

“With these new trains, riders can expect a smoother, more exhilarating ride along The Great White’s track,” the release added.

Founded in 1969, Morey’s is the largest group of seaside amusement piers in the world. It includes over 100 rides and attractions, as well as two beachfront waterparks, spanning over 18 acres along six beach blocks.

Morey’s also owns several hotels and restaurants.
