Hamilton-based New Day Underwriting Managers announced Monday that it has named Jeff Slivka its new president.According to the liability insurance company, Slivka helped launch the company in 2005 and has previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
In his new role he will be responsible for the development and growth of the company’s carrier network, marketing and producer training programs. He will also continue to head New Day’s day-to-day operations and business development efforts.
“The insurance industry is rapidly evolving,” Jefferey S. Lejfer, CEO, New Day, said in a prepared statement. “Underwriting and brokering will undergo unprecedented changes over the next 10 years. These issues will require our focused attention with a special emphasis on senior-level carrier and client relationships. This is essential for maintaining our premier position with insureds, retail agents and carriers.

Prior to New Day, Slivka spent more than two decades as an environmental and professional liability underwriter, insurance broker and environmental consultant.
