Philanthropy: The firm supports and donates business attire to Dress for Success, a nonprofit that helps disadvantaged women dress for interviews and new careers as they re-enter the workforce. The firm also has sponsored fundraisers and awareness programs for animal-rescue charities, such as Tabby’s Place and the Homeless Animal Adoption League in Bloomfield.
Best Decision: Leaving a national network of similar providers in 2010 and becoming independent. The decision required the firm to undertake a rebranding and act like a startup.
