Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC () kicked off the new year with a new leader, with Marie Mathews taking over as managing member of the Roseland-based law firm.

Mathews succeeds Patricia Costello at the helm. She previously served as leader of the litigation group and deputy general counsel to the firm, one of the most prominent in the state. Her background also includes representing an array of clients in complex commercial litigation matters throughout the region.

“I am looking forward to leading the firm through the exciting new opportunities on the horizon, as we continue to grow and build upon our past successes,” Mathews said at the time of her ascension. She is a magna cum laude graduate of George Washington University. Mathews received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
