An accomplished and visionary CPA and leader, Sundermann was recently appointed as managing director of Cg Tax, Audit & Advisory. She was also recognized by Forbes, which named Sundermann as one of the 2024 Top 200 CPAs in America. Sundermann joined Cg in 1996, focusing her career on advising physicians and other professionals on financial, tax and operational matters.
Her consulting engagements with physician practices included such areas as revenue cycle management, benchmarking, compensation formulas, physician buy-sell agreements, merger and acquisition due diligence, and valuation of medical practices. Sundermann continues to lead Cg’s healthcare services group, working with an entire ecosystem of healthcare organizations, ranging from health systems and hospitals to medical practices and ancillary providers, advising on financial, tax, and operational matters. She assists them with such matters as development and implementation, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and valuation services across all phases of their business cycle. She is also responsible for the overall direction of a related revenue cycle management company serving almost 200 providers in the region.
Leveraging her strong accounting and tax foundations, Sundermann finds creative solutions for her clients in an industry that has seen constant change in regulations, and reductions in reimbursements over the past decade. A frequent speaker and author, Sundermann conducts seminars on topics related to medical practice management and revenue enhancement for physician groups, hospitals, and various medical associations. She has been a featured speaker at several national Medical Group Management Association conferences, the annual New Jersey Medical Group Management Association Practice Management Conference, and several other professional association meetings.
Sundermann has been published in MD News, The Journal, and numerous other periodicals. A member of the AICPA and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, Sundermann was selected in 2021 to join Chief, an exclusive membership network focused on connecting and supporting female executive leaders. She also serves as secretary for the Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation, board chair of the Southern Ocean Medical Center Foundation, and treasurer of CPC Behavioral Healthcare’s Board of Directors. Sundermann earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Loyola University.
