The NJBIZ Business of the Year awards recognizes the state’s most dynamic businesses and business leaders who share a commitment to professional excellence, business growth and the community.

Finalists will be recognized and the winner in each category will be announced during an in-person awards ceremony. Finalists and winners will also be highlighted in the Business of the Year event publication.

NOMINATION FEE: $50.00 (non-refundable)

– Corporate Citizen of the Year (For-profit Companies Only) – Honors companies that exemplify the tenet of “doing well by doing good” and shows a sustained commitment to employees and community.
– Executive of the Year (the highest ranking executive in your organization)
– Emerging Business of the Year (For-profit Companies Only) – Honors companies as “rising stars” due to the actual or potential growth of its business, innovative products or services, and/or outstanding commitment to its employees and community. Company must be in business five years or less.

Eligibility:
– Nominee companies must have a physical office in New Jersey (may be for profit or not for profit).
– Business of the Year category winners from the past two years are not eligible to participate. However, finalists (who didn’t win) are eligible from any year.
– Nominee may be self-nominated or nominated by someone else.
– You may nominate in multiple categories but each company can have only one honoree per year (this includes the Executive of the Year category). NJBIZ reserves the right to limit the number of honorees per company.
– If a nominee is chosen as an honoree, their participation is required at the event.
– Nominee may not be members of the judges’ panel or members of the judges’ families.
– Nominations that do not follow guidelines may be subject to disqualification.
