NY Waterway ferry to resume service at Newport

Starting this summer, NY Waterway will provide service between Newport in Jersey City and Manhattan from a new landing dock, Newport Associates Development Co. announced on Monday.

Scheduled to begin summer 2019, the service will run between Newport and the West 39th Street Ferry Terminal in Manhattan seven days a week.

Newport’s new ferry landing will be located at the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway behind the East Hampton rental building at 30 River Court in Jersey City. Newport will provide its residents with a discount on one way fares.

Newport is a community with 5,500 residences, including the Ellipse. The neighborhood’s eight state-of-the-art office towers provide more than six million square feet of office space – and more than 25,000 employees – to major employers including JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Fidelity Investments, L’Oreal, Forbes and Tory Burch.
