Pop Mart opening 1st permanent US storefront at American Dream

Pop Mart, a designer toy brand from Asia popular with Gen Z, is making its U.S. debut at American Dream.

Scheduled to open Sept. 15, the new, permanent storefront will give fans and collectors access to the exclusive releases, limited editions and fresh collaborations that Pop Mart is known for.

As part of the grand opening event, Pop Mart will feature just 20 copies of the popular “Hirono Elephant in the Room” figurine, plus 200 of its exclusive “DIMMO Solitary Island” figurine. Pop Mart will also drop its highly anticipated collaboration with renowned streetwear label CLOT.

In a statement, Larry Lu, head of Pop Mart North America, said, “We are thrilled to bring our unique retail experience to the American Dream Mall! The opening of our first permanent store in the U.S. signifies an important milestone for our brand, and we are excited to share our passion for designer toys with our loyal fans and collectors in the United States.”

Founded 13 years ago in China, Pop Mart has more than 400 stores, 2,000 vending machines – called “Robo Shops” – and a distribution network that includes 84 countries and regions.

Just a few of its collaborators include entertainment giants Disney and Warner Bros., as well as artists like Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and brands ranging from Lays to Haagen Dazs to L’Oreal.

Located on Level 2 in Court D at American Dream, Pop Mart is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.
