The New York Red Bulls this week named Scott Epstein as head of corporate partnerships for the Harrison-based Major League Soccer (MLS) club.
In this role, Epstein, an accomplished sports and entertainment partnership executive, will oversee all partnership opportunities for both the club and Red Bull Arena. This includes the identification of new opportunities, such as brand partners for venue naming rights, as well as maximizing existing relationships and business development opportunities.
The hire marks the latest example of the organization’s efforts to build its business – both on and off the pitch, which NJBIZ has extensively reported on.
Prior to joining the Red Bulls, Epstein served as managing partner at Force Sports and Entertainment and senior vice president of live events for Townsquare Media. He brings extensive experience in this space – with a career that began at Madison Square Garden shaping the marketing partnerships and media sales for the Knicks, Rangers, Liberty, MetroStars, MSG Networks and more.
He will report to Chief Commercial Officer Joe Stetson.
“We look forward to Scott joining our club and delivering strong results, like he has successfully throughout his career,” said Marc de Grandpré, president, New York Red Bulls. “His combination of experience, relationship-building, and above all, his character makes him a great fit for our organization as we continue to evolve in all areas of our business.”
