Yeugenia Samardin and Maureen Ruane have joined Santomassimo Davis LLP in Parsippany as partners.

Samardin joins Santomassimo from her own law practice, founded in 2009. She has experience before both trial and appellate level courts and has also served as a mediator in the special civil division of the New Jersey Superior Court.

Samardin has experience in high-conflict divorce matters in New Jersey and New York, assisting victims of domestic violence in securing final restraining orders against their abusers, insurance coverage litigation, commercial litigation and business counseling, including as outside general counsel for mid-cap businesses. She is a native Russian speaker.

Ruane is a health care lawyer and former federal prosecutor. She previously served as chief of the Health Care & Government Fraud Unit at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey and vice president and head of U.S. litigation at Novartis in East Hanover.

As in-house attorney, Ruane conducted major internal investigations. She also provided guidance in U.S. litigation matters, handled and oversaw all significant and group material disputes, conducted compliance and ethics investigations, and created and applied compliance policies and procedures. From 2013 to 2017, she was a partner at Lowenstein Sandler LLP.
