“Shark Tank” success story Scrub Daddy will return to the hit ABC reality competition series for a recap on how the brand is doing 10 years since it originally appeared on the show.
During the Jan. 27 episode, Scrub Daddy will also give an update on its new global headquarters in Pennsauken, as well as highlight a recent bilateral partnership agreement with Unilever’s household cleaning products brand Cif.
Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will create, market and distribute co-branded products that offer the convenience of Scrub Daddy’s sponges with Cif’s cleaning products that will be available in the U.S. and globally.
In a statement, Scrub Daddy President and Chief Executive Officer Aaron Krause said, “This global co-branding partnership represents a major milestone in the worldwide growth and recognition of our Scrub Daddy brand. By partnering with Unilever, one of the largest and most reputable consumer goods companies in the world and their internationally famous Cif brand of cleaning products, we are well positioned for exponential growth both in the USA and internationally.”
Aseem Puri, chief executive officer of Unilever International, said, “We are excited about this partnership which will allow Scrub Daddy and Cif to reach more consumers across U.S., Europe and Asia and make cleaning fun together.”
Unilever USA is based in Englewood Cliffs.
Founded in 2012, Scrub Daddy became known for its high-performance smiley faced, scratch-free cleaning sponge made from patented texture changing FlexTexture material. Since then, the company has grown to offer a full line of 88 innovative cleaning tools, including a dual sided Scrub Mommy and Sponge Daddy, Barbeque Daddy, Scour Daddy and the Soap Daddy soap dispensing system.
Scrub Daddy – whose products can be found at most major retailers, including Target, Walmart, Tesco, Amazon, Lowe’s, Kroger and Safeway/Albertson’s – is considered one of the most successful companies in “Shark Tank” history.
Since the October 2012 appearance, Scrub Daddy has sold more than 25 million sponges and has a valuation of over $200 million.
