Shake Shack is preparing to launch its second drive-thru restaurant in New Jersey.
Scheduled to open June 24 at 4331 Route 1 in Freehold, the burger chain’s newest location will offer dine-in, takeout and drive-thru, as well as pick-up and delivery options via the brand’s mobile app or website.
Founded 20 years ago by restaurateur Danny Meyer, the concept is known for its made-to-order hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and custard floats. It now has more than 340 locations nationally, including 32 drive-thru spots.
Within New Jersey, Shake Shack has 21 restaurants. The chain’s other drive-thru in the Garden State opened earlier this year in North Brunswick.
To celebrate its arrival in Freehold, Shake Shack plans to give away branded swag to the first wave of guests. Following its grand opening, Shake Shack will operate 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
In keeping with the company’s larger mission of giving back, Shake Shack said it will donate $1 from every burger or sandwich sold opening day at the Freehold location to Habitat for Humanity of Monmouth County.
