Novelty retailer Spencer’s is joining the lineup at Jersey Shore Premium Outlets in Tinton Falls.

The brand, which is owned by Egg Harbor Township-based Spencer Spirit Holdings Inc., will mark its arrival at the outdoor shopping center with a July 8 grand opening celebration from 2 to 6 p.m.

Along with complimentary henna tattoos from Arva Henna Artist and free fairy hair extensions by EastCoastFairy Hair for all attendees, the store will give a $10 Spencer’s gift card to the first 100 people to arrive at the event.

Founded in 1947 as a mail-order catalog in Pennsylvania, Spencer’s opened its first brick-and-mortar store in 1963 at Cherry Hill Mall and has since grown to become a staple in shopping malls, with more than 680 retail locations, as well as an online presence.

While known for its gag gifts and décor, the retailer’s offerings also include apparel, jewelry, backpacks accessories and games.

Located in the Beach Ball Court near the Coach store, Spencer’s at the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
