A high-end coffee machine maker is moving its U.S. headquarters from Closter to Montvale under a 30,000-square-feet lease with Mountain Development Corp., the landlord said.

Jura Inc., a Swiss company that makes coffee machines, is expected to complete the move this summer to 20 Craig Road, according Mountain Development Corp. President Michael Allen Seeve. The new facility will include office, warehouse and showroom space.

“It’s a little bit of an expansion, but it’s coupled with putting all of their different uses under one roof, which has a lot of advantages for them,” Seeve said. “They’ve got a very high-end product, so having the salespeople and a showroom coupled with customer service and their executives just enhances the way they do business and market the brand here.”

About 50 employees will make the move, a manager for Jura told The Record.

Jura Inc., the U.S. division of Jura Elektroapparate AG, makes automatic coffee centers that it sells in more than 40 countries, according to its website.
